Brief History of the Omicron Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta at
University of Virginia
Since its establishment in 1858, the
Omicron Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta has served as a place for the men of the
University of Virginia to grow and develop Fiji’s five key values: Friendship,
Knowledge, Service, Morality and Excellence. Even though the chapter has had to
endure its share of difficulties, including troubles related to the Civil War,
it continues to be a model of excellence in the University of Virginia
community. Currently, the chapter has the distinction of having the Best
Philanthropy and Best Chapter President in the UVa Greek community, in addition
to being voted the Chapter of the Year.
